Catering Assistant

Tyne and Wear Learning Trust are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic School Catering Assistant to join their highly successful school kitchen at East Herrington Primary Academy.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Catering Assistant to work within a well-established team, supporting the development of our school catering provision. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about fresh, healthy and nutritious food and who wants to make a real difference to the experience of our children, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to a high standard and comply fully with the Government's School Food Standards.

We are looking for someone who:

• Can assist with the preparation, cooking, portioning and serving of meals in accordance with menus, recipes and Trust procedures.
• Has the ability to work effectively in a busy environment and organise tasks appropriately
• Is reliable, punctual and conscientious in carrying out duties.
