Teaching Assistant

We wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children with SEN in EY/KS1 to join us here at Even Swindon Primary School. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team and provide excellent care and education for our pupils.

The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school.

Hours would be 8.30am - 3.10pm with an additional hour to run an after school club on 1 day.

You must be able to demonstrate that you can build excellent relationships, want to make a difference to all children and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

Your role will include supporting children with SEN, some of whom have an EHCP, within the classroom. You will also be contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model. Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable for this post.
