About you…
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of supporting children within a primary school setting, including those with SEND.
- Is warm and friendly and develops excellent relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
- Has high expectations for all pupils and is committed to helping every child succeed.
- Has a sense of humour and fully embraces all aspects of school life.
- Works effectively as part of a team and uses their initiative.
- Can monitor and support children in break and lunch times and ensure they are thriving and safe.
- Will embrace our school ethos and add to our brilliant team.
Essential:
- Level 3 Teaching and Learning Qualification or equivalent.
- Suitable Level 2 Qualification in English and Mathematics or equivalent.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting children with SEND.
- Paediatric First Aid training.
- Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and early intervention approaches.
- Experience delivering interventions to individuals and small groups.
Your role…
As a Teaching and Learning Assistant you'll:
- Primarily support teaching and learning within Key Stage 2.
- Work closely with teachers to help pupils achieve their full potential.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through classroom support, interventions and small-group work when required.
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all pupils.
- Contribute to our caring and inclusive school culture where every child is encouraged to thrive.
