Governance & Risk Manager

Uxbridge, Greater London James Andrews Recruitment Our client, based in Uxbridge, is currently recruiting for a Governance & Risk Manager on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary is from £66,00 - £70,000. Duties will include (but are not limited to): * Providing authoritative and practical governance advice to the Board and Senior Leaders helping them fulfil their mandatory obligations and ensuring an effective governance framework in practice - from decision-making through to delivery - across the whole organisation * Embedding a clear, practical approach to risk management and mitigation, ensuring every team across our multi-site operation is clear on their responsibilities and takes informed decisions * Maintaining accurate governance records, including conflicts of interest, tenure, appointments and decision trails * As the Data Protection Officer, maintain UK GDPR compliance, ROPA and DPIA processes, IT, digital and security policies, serving as the main point of contact for any privacy enquiries * Experience required within a not for profit or SME type organisation, due to the size of the team already there Skills & Experience required: * Experience within not for profit or SME organisations * Degree in a relevant subject, a recognised governance qualification (e.g. CGI/ICSA) or equivalent relevant experience Rewards and Benefits: * Hybrid working (3 days on-site) * Flexible working days Working hours: * 37 hours per week * Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
