Technical Project Manager

• Contract duration: 6 months
• Location: Central London- Hybrid- Office visits twice per month with a potential increase to 1 day per week towards the end of the year.
• Pay range: £600-£650.00 per day/ Inside IR35
• Start date: ASAP/ October

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join our client’s Digital Transformation Programme, working across business and technical teams to deliver key business solutions and support the successful delivery of the wider programme.

You’ll work closely with the Architect, Business Analyst, Product Owner, Workstream Leads and senior stakeholders, taking ownership of projects end-to-end and ensuring delivery against scope, time, quality and cost.

The programme has a strong data and technology focus, including the migration of databases and software, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working within a technical environment and can confidently engage with technical teams and SMEs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects end-to-end, ensuring critical success factors are achieved and scope, time, quality and cost are effectively managed.
• Work closely with business teams, SMEs, Service and Support teams to maintain detailed programme plans and drive delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Workstream Leads and Senior Management, providing clear and concise communication and progress updates.
• Work closely with the Architect, BA and Product Owner to ensure projects are aligned to the wider programme objectives.
• Support the delivery of data, database and software migration activity, working closely with technical teams.
• Work with the programme team to develop readiness and acceptance criteria and KPIs to support the landing and embedding of change.
• Manage dependencies, risks, issues and key deliverables across the programme.
• Contribute to wider programme and portfolio outcomes, maintaining a strong focus on delivery and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate strong senior stakeholder management and the ability to work effectively across business and technical functions.

Skills/experience include:

• Strong project management experience within a technical, digital or data environment.
• Experience managing data, database, software or platform migration projects.
• The ability to understand technical concepts and work effectively with Architects, technical SMEs and delivery teams.
• Strong senior stakeholder and communication skills.
• Experience working within structured governance environments.
• Commercial or business-side experience would be beneficial.
• Experience working with data in a marketing/customer environment would be advantageous.
• MarTech experience would be useful but is not essential
