About the role

About the Role

We’re looking for an organised, reliable and detail-focused Training Administrator & Coordinator to join the Morson Nexus team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things organised, working with people and making sure the detail behind the scenes is right. You’ll provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support across our Training and Planning teams, helping to ensure courses run smoothly and training records are accurate, complete and up to date.

You don’t need previous rail or training experience. What’s most important is that you’re organised, confident using IT systems, comfortable working to deadlines and keen to learn. We’ll provide the training and support you need to build your knowledge of training administration and the rail industry.

What will you be doing?

You’ll support the full training process, from booking and planning through to course completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating training bookings, delegates and course arrangements.
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Training Coordination and Planning teams.
  • Making sure course and delegate information is accurately recorded and kept up to date.
  • Supporting pre- and post-course administration.
  • Liaising with trainers, delegates, associates, suppliers, clients and internal teams.
  • Checking that the right information and documentation is in place before and after training.
  • Recording attendance, results and course completion information.
  • Uploading and filing training documentation correctly.
  • Following up outstanding information or documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate training records across our business systems, including Monday.com and other training platforms.
  • Supporting basic reporting and management information.
  • Assisting the Compliance and Quality teams with administrative requirements and audit preparation.
  • Responding to routine queries and escalating more complex issues where appropriate.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and ways of working.
  • Providing wider administrative support across the Planning & Administration function.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the detail right and enjoys being part of a busy team.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in administration, customer service or an office-based environment.
  • Good basic IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to follow processes and work to deadlines.
  • A positive, helpful and reliable approach.
  • A willingness to learn new systems, processes and industry knowledge.
  • The confidence to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
  • The ability to take ownership of your own workload while working collaboratively with the wider team.

Experience within training, rail, construction, engineering or utilities would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

What you’ll learn

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a busy, national training operation.

With support from experienced colleagues across Planning, Administration and Compliance, you’ll build knowledge and experience in:

  • Training coordination and administration.
  • Rail training and the wider rail industry.
  • Course and delegate management.
  • Trainer, associate and supplier coordination.
  • Training documentation and certification.
  • Compliance and quality processes.
  • Morson Nexus systems and procedures.

As your knowledge and confidence grow, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and develop your career within the wider Planning & Administration function.

Why join us?

You’ll be joining Morson Nexus, part of the wider Morson Group, where training, skills and compliance play a vital role in supporting the people and organisations that keep the UK’s infrastructure moving.

This is more than an administration role. It’s an opportunity to build valuable industry knowledge, develop new skills and grow within a supportive team.

If you’re someone who is organised, enjoys working with people, takes pride in getting things right and is looking for an opportunity to develop, we’d love to hear from you.
