Teaching Assistant

Truro and Penwith Academy Trust, together with Mithian School, are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
This is a varied and rewarding role working within Key Stage 2, where you will work closely alongside the class teacher to support pupils with their learning and development. You will play an important part in creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment, helping every child to build confidence, achieve their potential and thrive.
Mithian School is in a beautiful, rural setting close to the city of Truro with excellent facilities and easy access to the most wonderful outdoor learning environments. We have a fantastic Wild Area where skills and knowledge are taught to support the children to become well-rounded and empathetic individuals. About You:You will bring a child-centred approach, enthusiasm and creativity to the role, helping to provide an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that inspires, challenges and motivates every child. You will support high-quality teaching and learning both inside the classroom and through outdoor learning, helping our children to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of high-quality teaching and learning, together with the ability to support children with additional needs, adapting their approach to ensure every child has the opportunity to engage, achieve and thrive.
