Salary: £28,800 – £46,000 + £2,500 Welcome Bonus

Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)

Joneshouse Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Maths Teacher to join a supportive specialist education setting in Sudbury, CO10.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the direction and development of the Maths Department, while delivering engaging and personalised lessons that inspire students to reach their full potential.

You will play a key role in leading curriculum development, supporting fellow teaching staff, and creating a nurturing learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping students build confidence, independence, and strong problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and plan creative and engaging Maths lessons

• Establish personalised learning pathways that support every student

• Provide academic support and encourage independent learning and research

• Track attendance, set assignments, mark work, and complete progress reporting

• Lead curriculum planning in line with Ofsted Educational Standards

• Support other teachers within the department

Requirements

• Passionate about supporting students with SEND needs

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a SEND or similar educational provision

• QTS/QTLS is desirable but not essential
