We’re Hiring – Mail Sorters!

 

Pertemps is currently recruiting Mail Sorters to join the team at Royal Mail’s Truro Mail Centre on a temporary assignment.

No previous mail-sorting experience is required, as full training will be provided.

 

The Role

As a Mail Sorter, you will play an important part in ensuring mail and parcels are processed and dispatched efficiently. Your duties will include:

• Sorting incoming and outgoing mail and parcels
  
  
• Loading and unloading mail cages and containers
  
  
• Moving mail safely around the site
  
  
• Preparing mail for dispatch
  
  
• Working to deadlines to ensure mail is processed efficiently
  
  
• Following all health, safety and security procedures
  
  
• Keeping your working area clean, safe and organised
  
  

 

Working Hours

Late Shifts: Typically between 14:00 and 22:00
Night Shifts: Typically between 22:00 and 05:00

Please note: This vacancy is for late and night shifts only. Shifts can start at any time between 14:00 and 22:00 and are typically 4–6 hours, depending on operational requirements.

Candidates must be available and willing to work within these hours.

• Ideally equipped with their own safety boots and high-visibility vest
  
  

 

Important Information

Shift times may vary slightly depending on the location and operational requirements. Flexibility is essential, and candidates should be prepared to work different shift patterns, including weekends where required.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance. 

 

• Evening: Finishes between 20:00–21:39. Pay rate is £14.38 per hour. 
  
  
• Lates: Finishes between 21:40–01:59. Pay rate is £15.14 per hour. 
  
  
• Nights: Three hours across 23:00-05:00. Pay rate is £16.44 per hour.
