As a Social Worker with the Isle of Wight Council, you will play a vital role in assessing needs, planning support, and delivering high-quality care in line with the Care Act eligibility threshold. You’ll work across diverse settings, engaging with individuals, families, and partner organisations to ensure the best outcomes for those in need.

We’re seeking two (1 post remaining) qualified, SWE registeredprofessionals to join our Localities team who bring:

• Evidence of working with people in social care or related settings, demonstrating strong assessment and analysis skills.
• Proven ability to engage effectively with individuals in varied environments.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Confidence in negotiating, influencing, and developing support plans that meet service standards.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage caseloads and meet time targets.
• Authoritative knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and care resources.
• Financial awareness to ensure accurate support planning and budget monitoring.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications and specialist systems confidently, ensuring high-quality, timely, and accurate data recording.
