FIRE Strategic Performance Manager | 11168 | Permanent Contract | 22.2 hours per week | £45,268 to £49,818 per annum pro-rata (Scale K) | Wymondham / Hybrid working

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Services (NFRS) is seeking a Strategic Performance Manager to drive forward performance reporting and programme tracking across the organisation. 

The role would best suit someone with skills in analytics, enthusiasm for engaging with people and a proactive approach to seeking out challenges and proposing solutions.

The role requires a good understanding of the operational context of Fire and Rescue Services.

The Strategic Performance manager will set and guide the strategic direction of performance reporting, ensuring that all statutory, National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC), and performance assurance requirements are met. 

They will review and coordinate improvements in data capture, storage and presentation, provide direction to the Fire Intelligence Unit and staff within the Norfolk County Council Insight & Analytics (I&A) team to develop reports, and working closely with the I&A lead in particular to ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet these requirements.

The Strategic Performance Manager will liaise with managers across the organisation to scope and plan future report development, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in our reporting practices.

The Strategic Performance manager will consider how productivity and efficiency improvements can be delivered - particularly through expanded performance and activity tracking tools and behaviours, creating business cases for change as needed.

The starting salary for this post is £45,268 pro-rata and the successful candidate will progress through increments annually (subject to performance) to a final salary point of £49,818 pro-rata.
