An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and committed individual to join the Community Safety Team.
In the role of Regional Delivery Officer you will work closely with our Senior Community Safety Officer (Prevent) and build effective engagement with our Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations, faith communities and other strategic partners across the County, to raise the profile of Prevent. You will also work closely with education settings and district/borough councils to offer advice and best practice towards their requirements under the Prevent Duty.
You will act as a point of contact for the Home Office on Prevent delivery in communities, provide expert advice on safeguarding concerns pertaining to radicalisation and extremism, and develop and deliver regular training sessions to staff and volunteers across multiple sectors.
You will be joining a team of experienced community safety professionals working passionately to address crime and disorder in Derbyshire. You will have access to suite of training and have a line manager who is supportive and keen to facilitate your development.
The post is fixed until March 31st, 2027, and we are open to considering secondments. The post may be extended, depending on funding decisions.

Our Community Safety Team is contractually based in Matlock, Derbyshire. A high proportion of your work will be spent delivering in-person interventions, so ability to travel is essential. Hybrid working arrangements will be considered subject to service need. There will be an opportunity to discuss future working arrangements at interview.
