Overview
Morson Edge is supporting Babcock in the recruitment of a Structures Supervisor to support structural maintenance operations on military aircraft at RAF Valley.
This role will involve overseeing structural repair and maintenance activities within a fast-paced aviation environment, ensuring work is completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will supervise technicians, manage maintenance activities, and support operational delivery within a highly regulated military aviation setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and direct technicians across aircraft structural maintenance activities
• Ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to approved standards
• Carry out 1st and 2nd signature responsibilities where authorised
• Deputise for the Team Leader when required
• Control manpower allocation and monitor maintenance progress
• Ensure compliance with maintenance regulations and documentation requirements
• Promote quality and safety management practices across all activities
• Support the maintenance and repair of aircraft structures and systems
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
• Strong engineering knowledge and practical aircraft maintenance experience
• Experience working on primary, secondary, and tertiary aircraft structures
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work within a regulated and safety-critical aviation environment
Qualifications
• City & Guilds 2675 Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Maintenance or equivalent
• Qualified and experienced in Airframe structural repair techniques
• Minimum 4 years’ experience within a related engineering environment
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals
