Kingfisher Primary Academy is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is committed to helping every child thrive. We are seeking someone who can confidently lead learning, support pupils with a range of needs, and work collaboratively with teachers to deliver high-quality educational experiences. The successful candidate will be adaptable, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build positive relationships, promote inclusion and inspire pupils to achieve their very best. A strong understanding of teaching and learning, excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting children's academic and personal development are essential.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals, groups, or whole classes
  • Provide high-quality support to pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher when required
  • Support the assessment of pupil progress and contribute to planning
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to raise achievement
What we are looking for
  • Experience of working effectively within a primary school setting
  • HLTA status or equivalent experience/qualification
  • Strong understanding of teaching and learning strategies
  • The ability to motivate, inspire and support pupils of all abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to high expectations and safeguarding practices
