A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Washington DC. This opportunity offers exposure to complex, high-value business disputes, contract litigation, and commercial claims across a broad client base including corporations, financial institutions, and private entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of commercial litigation from case inception through trial and appeal
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda
• Manage discovery, including document review, depositions, and interrogatories
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Develop litigation strategies aligned with client objectives
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex litigation matters
• Maintain direct communication with clients, opposing counsel, and courts

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial litigation experience
• Proven experience handling business disputes and contract matters
• Background in mid-to-large law firms preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• JD and active bar admission
