Inventory & Asset Quarantine Control - Materials Management

Location: Bridgwater Construction site and Somerset Energy & Innovation Centre (Bridgwater) based.
Status: Full-time, Contract INSIDE IR35
Duration: Until end 2027 (with possibility of further extension)

Morson Edge are working with a major player in the Energy Sector who have current CONTRACT requirements for Inventory & Asset Quarantine Controllers to join their established Project Delivery teams in Somerset. Competitive all-inclusive daily rates, inside IR35.

Overview

• Inventory & Asset Quarantine Control is responsible for supporting the end-to-end material management process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of data for assets and material released to the site construction teams and ensuring that the availability of assets and material are aligned throughout project digital systems.
• This role involves coordinating with project managers, catalogue, and warehouse teams to ensure inventory needs are met.

Typical Activities:

• Collaborating with Project Managers, procurement and warehousing teams to ensure accurate data is recorded in the software tools operating across the Project
• Ensuring quarantined assets are identified in a timely manner, placing them in a ‘digital hold’ and aligning that status with delivery paperwork and off-site storage facilities.
• Providing accurate data in response to requests from across the Construction and Quality organisations covering inventory reconciliation, asset status, and quarantine.
• Involvement in the examination/reconciliation of Project reports (PowerBi) to support the timely alignment of assets and materials.
• Supporting the warehouse and site teams though inventory reconciliation.

• Candidates will be technically competent individuals who are willing to contribute their knowledge and skills to ensure all Equipment and Materials used in the Mechanical Electrical and HVAC phase of Project construction, are accurately captured in operational digital tools ensuring a robust end to end lifecycle management process.

Experience & Skills

• The role will primarily be focused on data accuracy
• Previous experience of digital tools used for the management of materials from Supply Chain to installation - Enterprise Asset Management software (or similar would be an advantage).
• A solid understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage
• Strong attention to detail when working with large data sets
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with stakeholders
• Strong IT skills, Excel, Power Point
• Knowledge of Power Bi (advantageous)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
