Teaching Assistant

Location: Rowley Regis

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a supportive Teaching Assistant to start immediately. This Teaching Assistant position will involve working with children and young people aged 7 to 19 who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), alongside a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), global developmental delay, speech, language and communication needs, and moderate to severe learning difficulties. Many pupils require tailored support to develop their independence, communication skills, confidence, and ability to engage successfully in both learning and everyday life.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support pupils with moderate learning difficulties and additional SEND needs.
• Help implement individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and personalised learning programmes.
• Adapt resources and classroom activities to meet a range of learning styles and abilities.
• Support pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional development.
• Encourage independence, resilience, confidence, and positive engagement in learning.
• Assist pupils in developing functional life skills and preparing for future education, employment, and adulthood.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, families, therapists, and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
