Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Gledhow Primary is looking to appoint a Maternity Cover Teaching Assistant to work across our school. We are keen to speak to committed, enthusiastic, and resilient individuals who will bring a warm and nurturing personality to our school alongside an understanding of the families and children in our community.

Applications are welcome from suitably experienced and/or qualified Teaching Assistants who can demonstrate good teaching and learning skills with a good understanding and awareness of special educational needs.

This is a rewarding role where you will:

- Support the class teacher during lessons to create an engaging and supportive classroom.

- Help children throughout the day including at playtimes and during dinner.

- Deliver support to pupils in small groups and 1:1.

- Work collaboratively as a team with our amazing teaching, learning support, and lunchtime colleagues.
