Overview We are recruiting for multiple Paint Sprayers to join a well-established structural steel business in Grantham.
This is a workshop-based role applying protective and intumescent coatings, working to strict specifications, quality standards and health and safety procedures.
You will be involved in the full process from preparation checks through to final inspection.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare structural steel for coating including cleaning, masking and pre-spray checks
• Carry out visual inspections before spraying to ensure prep standards are met
• Apply protective and intumescent coatings using spray equipment
• Operate and maintain spray equipment including guns, pumps and hoses
• Follow technical data sheets and application specifications
• Carry out coating checks and ensure correct coverage and finish
• Identify and rectify defects such as uneven coverage or surface issues
• Complete job records and follow site procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Work in line with health and safety procedures including COSHH
• Support production teams to meet deadlines

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in industrial paint spraying, ideally within structural steel or fabrication
• Understanding of surface preparation and coating systems
• Ability to follow technical specifications and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable and consistent, this is key for the team
• Open to overtime, including weekends when required

Desirable:

• ICATS or Train the Painter certification
• Experience with protective or intumescent coatings

Pay & Progression

• £15.53 per hour starting rate
• Pay review after training / probation period, typically rising to £17.50+
• Overtime available, including weekends during busy periods

• Monday to Thursday
• 6:00am – 3:45pm
• Overtime available up to 7 days during busy periods
