Group Tax Analyst (Compliance & Reporting)

We’re looking for a Group Tax Analyst. Based at our Paddington HQ you’ll support management in performing the Group’s UK tax compliance and reporting activities, including corporation tax, VAT and Pillar Two related activities as well as tax reporting under FRS101 and IFRS. The role would suit either someone new to a career in tax, or someone who has already started to build a strong foundation in tax and is keen to continue developing their technical expertise. If you have already started a career in tax, you may have 1-2 years’ experience in a tax-related role, and or be a part qualified accountant or tax adviser with[EM1.1] relevant tax exposure such that you’ll bring a good understanding of core tax principles, strong analytical skills, and the motivation to develop within a broad in-house tax environment.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare the UK tax returns, analysis and calculations alongside team members
• Prepare tax analysis and disclosures for the Group’s externally reported interim and full-year results under IFRS, for the standalone accounts of the Group’s UK subsidiaries under FRS101
• Develop proficiency in SAP and a network of contacts around the group to obtain data necessary to complete work

Urenco will provide company funded training through a professional training provider, together with paid time off for you to study for accountancy and/or tax qualifications.

What do you need to thrive in this role?

• Proven academic background, ideally with strong mathematics results.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Be inquisitive, within the department we want to see pride and commitment in work quality.
• Have a high level of competency with MS Excel including use of formulas.
• Be highly numerate and analytical
• Some experience in SAP or Alphatax would be desirable, but full training will be provided.

Security vetting
