About the role

Job Purpose Statement

Responsible for the functions relating to SPT Asset Data forecasting, collection, collation and reporting processes for SPT Projects. Communication with internal and external stakeholders to determine all Assets during the conceptual and basic design phases of a project and tracking design progress to provide a comprehensive asset register which includes detailed component level information of Lead, and Non-lead assets at the construction, installation and commissioning phase. Communication with various parties to ensure verification and accurate representation of the asset register is stored in the corporate systems and records are readily available for regulatory reporting to the industry regulator.

Dimensions

- Integrated in the SPT PMO team
- Ensure correct volumes and asset data are collated for all assets on the network
- Forecasting data for future years including reviewing technical information
- Ensuring data is reported correctly for regulatory reporting purposes
- Multiple daily contacts with all Project stakeholders such company, contractors, central departments, project teams, engineering, Operations and OCC
- Dealing with a very high number of technical process documents and information to record and tracking (several hundreds or thousands)
- Understand the commissioning methodology and have the adequate drive to chase the very high number of the process documents in due time and with the adequate interpersonal skills to avoid excessive numbers of reminders.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

- Experience of dealing with people at varying levels across the business.
- Knowledge of SPT transmission network to understand engineering papers and documentation
- Working knowledge of Power or Industrial Processes and Document Management Systems with emphasis placed on technical assets.
- Proven experience of working with a big quantity of projects at the same time.
- Ability to analyse and present information in a logical and orderly manner.
- Experienced in the use of MS Office, SAP and other tools and strong administration skills.
- Experience in MS Excel spread sheets and report writing.
- Understand of ISO 9001 Quality Management.
- Proactively assist in the resolution of issues.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Enthusiastic and flexible approach to work.
- Capacity of Empathy and good relationship skills.

Planning & Organising

- Coordination of the SPT Projects Asset Data in collaboration with all the involved internal and external stakeholders ensuring that is planned and forecasted in advance to minimise disruption to the operation of the business.
- Assess and anticipate any variations and changes to the mentioned processes, understand the impact and plan action to address issues
- Forecasting what assets will be added to the network in future years
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Internal and External Relationships

- SPT Senior Management team
- SPT staff (Engineering, Projects, Operations, C&P) - all levels
- SPEN staff from other SPEN directorates, responsible for elements of the T2 Delivery Programme and RRP reporting (System Design and Commercial in NP&R, OCC in Customer Services)
- Multiple daily contacts with all Project stakeholders such company, contractors, central departments, project teams, engineering, Operations and OCC

Minimum Criteria
Criteria Essential

- Have a working engineering knowledge to read engineering documentation
- Proven ability to work within a changing workload to agreed timescales.
- Be a proficient IT user on word, Excel, SAP and recognised database software packages.
