We’re looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a major UK defence programme, developing scalable cloud-based software within a modern Agile engineering environment.
This is a hands-on Java development role, with a strong cloud-native focus and exposure to containerisation and DevSecOps throughout the software lifecycle.
Key experience:
- Strong commercial Java development experience
- Cloud services / cloud-native development
- Unit and automated testing
- Spring / Spring Boot and microservices
- Kubernetes and/or Red Hat OpenShift
- CI/CD and DevSecOps experience
- SonarQube, Tekton, ArgoCD, Quarkus or Angular beneficial
Security requirements
Due to the security restrictions of the programme, applicants must already hold active SC clearance and be a sole British national. Unfortunately, candidates who do not meet both requirements cannot be considered.
If you’re an SC-cleared Java Engineer with strong cloud and Kubernetes/OpenShift experience, please apply with an up-to-date CV for further details.
