Job Description:
MK Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for an Injection Mould Setter to join a great team of people for a company in Biggleswade.
You may be asked to commute between Bletchley and Biggleswade.
Driving Licence required.
The Moulding Setter is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and maintaining moulding machines in a production environment. This role involves ensuring that machines are configured to run efficiently, producing high-quality parts and products while minimizing downtime. The Moulding Setter works closely with operators and quality control personnel to ensure production goals are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup & Adjustment:
- Set up and adjust moulding machines, including presses, injection moulds, and other equipment, according to job specifications.
- Change moulds and tooling as required for different production runs.
- Adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed to optimize production.
- Production Support:
- Ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently by monitoring machines during operation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions that arise during the moulding process.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on machines to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain production schedules and keep track of machine performance and efficiency.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct regular checks on moulded products to ensure they meet the required quality standards.
- Work closely with quality control inspectors to ensure any defects are identified and addressed.
- Make adjustments to machines or processes to improve product quality when necessary.
- Safety & Cleanliness:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring equipment is properly stored and maintained.
- Report any safety hazards or potential issues to management immediately.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Record machine settings, changes, and any issues encountered during production.
- Complete production reports and log any maintenance performed.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs and product quality.
- Working Conditions:
- The role may involve working in a noisy and temperature-controlled environment, depending on the moulding process.
- PPE (such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, safety boots) must be always worn on the factory floor.
