The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Neurologist to support a healthcare service in East of England.

This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract within a Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 shift pattern, providing structured and consistent work with no on-call commitments.

The role is well suited to an experienced Consultant Neurologist who is confident managing outpatient clinics and virtual triage activities while delivering high standards of patient care. You will work alongside established clinical teams, supporting outpatient services and helping to manage existing waiting lists through a blend of face-to-face and virtual clinical activity.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality Neurology care within outpatient and virtual settings.
• Undertake a combination of face-to-face outpatient clinics and virtual triage sessions.
• Support the review and management of existing patient waiting lists.
• Participate in approximately 4-5 outpatient clinics per week.
• Conduct approximately 2-3 virtual triage sessions per week.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with local and NHS standards.
• Contribute to the efficient delivery of Neurology services.

Job Plan

• 7 Clinical Sessions per Week
• 3 Administrative Sessions per Week
• Clinical sessions will comprise a blend of:
  • Face-to-face outpatient clinics
  • Virtual triage of the existing waiting list
• Clinics are 4 hours in duration.
• 30-minute appointments for new patients.

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Neurology (or eligibility to practise at Consultant level).
• Relevant recent UK NHS experience.
• Experience in outpatient Neurology services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and professionalism.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
