About the role
You do not need previous demand planning experience. The business is looking for someone with strong numerical ability, excellent Excel skills and the curiosity to understand what the data is saying. You will receive support and training across the company’s products, systems and operational planning processes.
Working within the Operations team, you will analyse sales and stock information, identify patterns and provide insight that supports planning and commercial decisions across two established consumer brands.
The role:
As Operations Data Analyst, you will:
- Analyse sales, stock and operational data using Excel
- Produce regular reports, spreadsheets, dashboards and trackers
- Identify patterns, trends, risks and commercial opportunities
- Support the Sales team with accurate data and useful commercial insight
- Help maintain product forecasts and monitor performance against actual sales
- Monitor stock levels, availability and potential future shortages
- Highlight unusual data, changes in demand and areas requiring action
- Support planning for promotions, seasonal demand and new product launches
- Help maintain accurate product and operational information across company systems
- Work closely with colleagues across Operations, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing
- Explore how AI and automation could improve reporting and reduce manual processes
- Contribute ideas to improve data accuracy, reporting and ways of working
You may be a graduate seeking your first commercial opportunity or already working within an analytical, operations, commercial or supply chain support role. You should have:
- Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical ability
- Confidence working with large amounts of information
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy
- The ability to identify trends, anomalies and potential problems
- A proactive approach and willingness to suggest improvements
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain information clearly
- Commercial curiosity and an interest in how data supports business decisions
- The resilience to work effectively within a fast-paced, results-focused environment
- An interest in technology, AI and automation
- The ability to work from the Grimsby office five days per week
The company You will join a growing group, the working environment is close-knit, friendly, fast-paced and commercially focused. You will work closely with a core team of three to four people while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and several areas of the wider business.

- Salary of £28,000 to £30,000
- Monday to Friday working hours, 9.00am to 5.00pm
