People Solutions are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our well-established client based in Stockport.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing Monday to Friday work, overtime opportunities, weekly pay and the potential to secure a permanent position with a reputable logistics business.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, FLT Operator or Counterbalance Forklift Operator.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday
 • 6:00am–4:00pm
 • Flexibility to work Saturdays required
 • Saturdays paid at time and a half

Rates of Pay

 • £12.71 per hour basic – RATE TO BE CONFIRMED
 • £19.07 per hour after 37.5 hours
 • Saturdays paid at time and a half
 • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an FLT Counterbalance Driver, your duties will include:

 • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
 • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
 • Completing pre-use forklift checks and reporting defects
 • Receiving goods and putting away pallets
 • Checking stock quantities and identifying damaged goods
 • Moving and organising stock throughout the warehouse
 • Supporting general warehouse duties when required
 • Following all site health and safety procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, you will need:

 • Valid RTITB or ITSSAR-accredited Counterbalance Forklift Licence
 • Previous Counterbalance Forklift Truck operating experience
 • Flexibility to work Saturdays when required
 • Good communication skills
 • Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness
 • Reliable and self-motivated attitude
 • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 • Willingness to assist with general warehouse duties

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or logistics environment

Training Provided

 • Full site-specific training
 • Ongoing development and support throughout your assignment
