About the role
We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team, specifically working within our 2-year-old provision. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and education tailored to the unique developmental needs of toddlers, supporting their emerging independence, communication, and social skills in a safe, stimulating environment.
36 hours, 15 minutes per week - Term time only plus 2 additional days - Hours of work - 8:15am - 4:00pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
Key Responsibilities
Key Person Duties: Act as a key person to a small group of 2-year-olds, building strong relationships with children and families to support settled transitions and emotional well-being.
Curriculum & Development: Plan and deliver age-appropriate play and learning activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a strong focus on prime areas of development (communication, personal/social, and physical skills).
Two-Year Progress Checks: Conduct observations, track developmental milestones, and complete formal 2-year-old progress reviews in partnership with parents.
Care & Hygiene: Support toddlers with personal care routine tasks, including diaper changing, toilet training, and healthy mealtime routines.
Safeguarding & Health: Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene, adhering to all safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
The Early Childhood Educator will deliver high-quality early years education and care within our 2 year old provision school-based nursery setting. Working in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework. The successful candidate will ensure inclusive practice, safeguard children’s welfare, and contribute to the strategic development of the early years provision. You will support the children’s social, emotional and physical development, designing provision and experiences to enhance pupils learning and provide supervision and care of children at all times of the day.
