Consultant - General Medicine
Locum Consultant in General Medicine required at Daisy Hill Hospital within the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is a long-term assignment at £100/hr assignment rate, covering weekday shifts from October 2026 through to early March 2027.
The successful candidate will provide consultant-level general medical cover within the Medicine & Unscheduled Care directorate at Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry. The role involves standard weekday hours (08:30–17:00) providing acute general medicine inpatient care, ward rounds, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary team leadership. Daisy Hill Hospital is a major acute hospital within the Southern HSC Trust serving the Newry and Mourne area.
This is an extended assignment with consistent weekday cover required throughout. Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register for General Internal Medicine (or within 6 months of CCT), hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise, have the right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance. A minimum of 2 professional references is required.
