PAYE Pay Rate: £358.91 per day

Main Purpose

Lead the development and delivery of corporate strategies that support Southwark Council’s priorities, transformation agenda and long-term vision. Provide strategic and policy advice to senior leaders and use evidence, data and stakeholder insight to support decision-making.

Typical Day

• Develop and review corporate strategies and policies.
• Prepare reports, briefings and presentations for senior leaders and elected Members.
• Analyses data, research and policy developments.
• Engage with residents, partners and internal services.
• Provide strategic recommendations and options appraisals.
• Support transformation, innovation and organizational improvement.
• Manage projects and mentor/line manage a Strategy Lead.

Essential Requirements

• Significant experience in strategy, policy or transformation, preferably within local government/public sector.
