Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Extensive experience in the maritime industry. Mastery of the Merchant Marine environment, particularly on civilian-operated ships. Experience with shipboard personnel management, training, International Safety Management (ISM), and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) applicable to shipping. Mastery experience of principles for curriculum management, training design, and instruction for individuals and groups, including how to measure training effectiveness. Expert experience of strategic planning fundamentals to establish goals and set mission priorities for Strategic Sealift Officer (SSO) development and education. Expert experience of the rules, regulations, and mission readiness criteria for training and developing Strategic Sealift Officers. Experience with organizational structures, including their operational and administrative relationships. Experience developing and presenting briefs, technical papers, and instructional materials.
