Medicare People is looking for compassionate Live-in Carer (Self Employed) in Guildford who want to help people live independently and comfortably within their own homes. Through personalised one-to-one support, you'll play an important role in improving the wellbeing and quality of life of those in your care.

As a Live-in Carer (Self Employed) in Guildford, you'll provide practical and emotional support that is tailored to each individual. This may include assistance with personal care, companionship, mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, and everyday household tasks.

Our live-in care placements are available across Guildford and surrounding areas, allowing us to match you with clients who benefit from your skills and experience.

We are currently recruiting Live-in Carers on a self-employed basis for our introductory care service.

What you'll do

• Support clients with everyday living tasks
• Provide person-centred care within their own homes
• Assist with personal care and grooming
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
• Help with mobility and daily activities
• Prepare meals and drinks
• Administer medication safely and correctly
• Carry out light housekeeping and laundry duties
• Support with shopping and other essential errands
• Monitor clients' wellbeing and report concerns
• Keep care notes up to date and accurate
• Help clients live comfortably, safely and independently at home

What you'll bring

• At least 6 months of UK care experience
• A kind, caring and compassionate personality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence working within clients' homes
• The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
• A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience administering medication is desirable
• Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
