About the Role

Our client is a pump specialist workshop based in Unanderra looking for an experienced Fitter to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a workshop-focused role where you'll strip down and rebuild multistage, split case, submersible, slurry, and vacuum pumps from leading brands including Flygt, Grundfos, KSB, Sulzer, Warman, Lowara, and Davey.

You'll prepare components for quotes, reassemble units, and take ownership of the technical work that keeps their operation running. The role offers flexibility with a choice of full-time hours (Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm, Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm) or a four-day week rotating between two schedules.

Preferred Requirements

• Proven workshop experience as a mechanical fitter or turner
• Hands-on background working with multistage, split case, submersible, slurry, or vacuum pumps
• Ability to strip, inspect, prepare components for quotes, and reassemble pump units to specification
• Familiarity with major pump brands such as Flygt, Grundfos, KSB, Sulzer, Warman, Lowara, or Davey
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a workshop setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical fitting, fitting and turning, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Demonstrated experience in pump maintenance, overhaul, or assembly work
• Familiarity with technical drawings and component specifications
