About the role

The Role:

We are seeking an inspiring Lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering for a one year fixed term contractto deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across a range of engineering programmes from Level 2 to HNC, including apprenticeships. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help learners develop the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in industry while contributing to curriculum development and employer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging teaching, learning and assessment across Mechatronics Engineering programmes.
  • Support learner achievement through effective feedback, assessment and pastoral guidance.
  • Develop course materials, schemes of work and assessments that meet awarding body requirements.
  • Work with employers, colleagues and awarding organisations to enhance curriculum quality and learner outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance, course review and continuous improvement activities.

Who You Are:

You are a qualified engineer, or have significant industry experience in a relevant engineering discipline such as mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronics engineering. Passionate about developing future talent, you can bring technical knowledge to life and help learners gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.

You have strong communication and organisational skills, enjoy working collaboratively, and are committed to delivering an outstanding learner experience. A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one, is essential, alongside a commitment to equality, diversity, safeguarding and continuous professional development
