Lead SOC Architect

Lead SOC Architect | Up to £100k | Guildford / Frimley | HybridI’m working with a leading Defence and National Security organisation looking for a Lead SOC Architect to shape and deliver complex Security Operations Centre solutions.This is a senior architecture position combining technical leadership, client engagement and solution design across the full SOC ecosystem.You’ll be responsible for:• Architecting end-to-end SOC solutions across people, process, technology and infrastructure• Defining SOC concepts, CONOPS and high/low-level architecture designs• Working directly with senior client and government stakeholders• Designing and integrating security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management• Assessing existing SOC capabilities and developing security maturity• Designing scalable, resilient on-prem and cloud security architectures• Supporting accreditation, security requirements and risk assessments• Researching and evaluating emerging security technologies and approaches• Providing technical leadership throughout solution design, build, deployment and operationThey’re looking for:• Strong experience in SOC architecture and security operations• Hands-on architectural experience across at least two of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management or Threat Intelligence• Strong understanding of security operations, threat detection and incident response• Experience designing both on-prem and cloud security architectures• Understanding of security principles including least privilege, encryption, resilience and scalability• Experience working with Government, Defence or other highly regulated environments• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills• Familiarity with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman is desirable• Ability to work across Agile, iterative and traditional delivery environmentsSecurity clearance is essential, with SC required and DV highly desirable.What’s on offer:• Up to £100,000 basic salary• Guildford or Frimley• Hybrid and flexible working• Senior technical ownership across major Defence programmes• Opportunity to shape SOC solutions from initial concept through to deployment• Work across complex, high-security environments where the technology genuinely mattersIf you’re a SOC Architect, Security Architect or senior Cyber Security professional with strong SOC design experience, I’d be keen to speak with you.
