Grayscale Medical is recruiting a Specialty Doctor (Middle Grade) to provide locum Emergency Medicine cover at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) Emergency Department, Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This is a shift-based locum role at £60/hr assignment rate, with extensive availability across September and October 2026.

The RVH ED is a major trauma centre and one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Northern Ireland. As a middle grade doctor, you will be responsible for leading clinical assessments, managing acute presentations independently, supervising junior staff, and supporting the consultant team during high-acuity periods. Shifts include day cover, late/evening shifts, and overnight on-call, with significant weekend working required.

Multiple shifts available from 18 September to 25 October 2026 including:

• Weekday shifts (08:00–16:00, 13:00–21:00, 14:00–22:00)
• Evening/overnight shifts (16:00–00:00, 22:00–08:00)
• Weekend shifts across Saturdays and Sundays

This is a high-volume opportunity with numerous dates available — ideal for doctors seeking regular locum work in a challenging acute setting.

Candidates must hold valid GMC registration with a licence to practise at Specialty Doctor, SAS, or equivalent middle grade level. Right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and demonstrable experience in emergency and acute medicine are required.
