About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Coordinator to work for BAE Systems, Barrow-in-Furness on a 12 month contract. You will be part of a busy team and will require excellent communication and team working skills.
Key duties will include
- Producing accurate reports and minutes for meetings
- Supporting business communications
- Ensuring data quality in Jira
- Action taking / action management
- Dealing with laptop requests, general IT issues & IT access requests
- Making travel bookings
- Providing support for meeting rooms e.g. diary management where needed
- Preparing data packs for Project Managers
- Organising team socials
- SharePoint maintenance
- Confluence maintenance
- JIRA reporting
- Managing distribution lists
- Attending problem solving sessions
The successful candidate will have have experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with teams as well as internal and external stakeholders.
An understanding of how to deal with confidential Information and how to store appropriately.
Comprehensive knowledge of a range of work routines, procedures and systems. A good understanding of how the function collectively works together in order to meet its objectives and the key stakeholders involved.
Key skills required;
- Good command of English grammar
- Developed administrative skills:
- The ability to extract, analyse and manipulate data and format to meet customer requirements,
- Able to utilise relevant management systems, ensuring the data is safely recorded and stored,
- Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office software.
- Previous experience of using SharePoint, Jira and Confluence would be an advantage
- Good problem-solving skills:
- Makes straightforward judgements by analysing information and selecting appropriate solution
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Will need to be able to confidently liaise with people at all levels
Qualifications required;
- Significant experience in providing an administrative service.
- Good standard of general education.
- Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3 or equivalent.
This role is working a 37 hour week, with a requirement to work 2-3 days on site.
