OX16, Nethercote, Oxfordshire ABS Talent Ltd CNC Programmer / Production Engineer – 5-Axis Hypermill (Motorsport) Location: Oxfordshire Job type: Permanent, full-time Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience) The opportunity ABS Talent is recruiting a CNC Programmer / Production Engineer on behalf of a leading motorsport engineering client in Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an elite, fast-paced machine shop working on small-batch and one-off prototype components to the highest standards. The role is broader than pure programming — you'll be producing CNC programs while also playing a key part in the day-to-day running of the machine shop, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and ownership. The role * Producing CNC programs (Hypermill 5-axis) with supporting tool lists, setup sheets and fixture design * Helping run the day-to-day machine shop — scheduling and pricing of work * Liaising with designers, buyers and customers * Maintaining TPM records, weekly maintenance sheets and coordinating machine servicing * Ordering tools and consumables, and managing the tool vending inventory * Completing structures and routings in the ERP system for accurate job packs About you * Minimum 3 years' Hypermill (Open Mind) CAD/CAM, 5-axis, programming complex parts to a high standard * A machining background including batch and prototype work * Confident reading engineering drawings with GD&T * Proactive and reliable under deadline pressure * A team player who enjoys the broader production side, not just programming What's on offer * Permanent role with a world-class motorsport engineering business * Varied role with genuine ownership across programming and production * Career development in an elite manufacturing environment * Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience Interested?
