About the role
Are you a dedicated educator looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a motivated SEND Teacher to join our team in a challenging yet highly rewarding role supporting students with complex needs.
You will deliver high-quality teaching to pupils with autism and complex needs, empowering them to overcome barriers and foster independence in a safe, inclusive environment. Additionally, you will lead a subject area, mentor support staff, and drive student growth.
We operate a strict no-sponsorship policy; all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement varying lesson plans for each individual student.
- Manage complex classroom dynamics with a calm, reflective, and non-confrontational approach.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to review EHC plans.
- Provide professional leadership in a designated subject area, monitoring standards and promoting best practice.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure holistic student support.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with PGCE; proven experience in a special school environment working with ASC/SEND pupils.
- Ability to teach up to and including GCSE level; strong drive for professional development; excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be physically able to meet the requirements of the role.
- A deep understanding of autism and associated conditions is essential.
- Able to provide your own vehicle or public transport.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check.
