Randstad is seeking adaptable and dependable General Cover Supply Teachers for immediate starts across a variety of secondary schools throughout Torbay.

This role is designed specifically for Qualified Teachers who want to focus purely on classroom delivery without the administrative burdens of permanent positions. • No Planning or Preparation: All lesson plans and resources are fully provided by the permanent school staff.

• No Marking or Assessment: Simply ensure the classroom is left tidy with a brief handover note.

• Fixed Hours: Work strictly from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM with zero unpaid overtime, weekend work, or parent's evenings.

• Complete Flexibility: Choose exactly which days you want to work each week via our digital booking system.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across various subjects to secondary school students (Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4).

• Maintain a positive, productive, and safe learning environment using the school's behaviour policy.

• Supervise students throughout the school day, ensuring tasks are completed.

• Leave detailed feedback for the permanent class teacher at the end of the day.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage students quickly.

• Flexibility and a proactive attitude toward covering diverse subjects.

• A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one through Randstad).

• Right to work in the UK.
