Our client based in Telford, is looking for a new senior director to take over the company in this new exciting chapter and help drive the company and sales forward, this new phase of development.

The business has a strong heritage, established supplier relationships and an international customer base, and is now looking to strengthen its senior leadership team with an experienced, commercially driven individual who can take responsibility for the overall direction and performance of the organisation.

The initial appointment will be on an Acting Managing Director basis, with the intention that the successful candidate will transition into a permanent Managing Director position following a successful initial period, anticipated to be within approximately 6–12 months, reporting into the current owner.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious senior leader to take genuine ownership of a business, assess its current position and develop a clear strategy for sustainable growth.

You will oversee and control daily business operations, guides long-term company strategy, and answers directly to the board of directors, and being the main link between the board and staff, as part of your role you will be turning big goals into daily action and company profitability.

As part of this very important ket role, you will be creating and launching business plans, overseeing daily work across all departments, tracking budgets, control costs and drive revenue growth, you will be responsible for the hiring of senior managers, building strong teams, guiding company culture, whilst making sure company performance is relayed to the board and staff.

Ideal Candidate

• 5 + Years working as a Managing Director/General Manager/Commercial Director 
  
  
• University Degree in Business or Equivalent
  
  
• Experienced in full P&L responsibility and business leadership
  
  
• Confident in developing and implementing commercial strategy
  
  
• A Strong relationship builder who is comfortable dealing directly with major customers and suppliers
  
  
• Experienced in developing B2B, wholesale or distribution relationships
  
  
• Proven track record in developing and driving a company forward 
  
  
• Deep understanding of corporate finance, market trends, and business laws.
  
  
• Pro-active and visible, with a genuine appetite for getting out into the market, attending exhibitions and meeting potential customers.
  
  
• Internationally minded, with the confidence and willingness to develop overseas market.
  
  
• A strong negotiator with excellent commercial and communication skills.
  
  
• Comfortable working within an established business while having a vision to evolve and modernise its approach.
  
  
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and public speaking abilities.
  
  

Hours 

Days – Flexible Depending on business needs 

9-5pm

 

Salary 

£75,000 - £85,000 per annum + Additional Benefits
