Senior Mechanical Engineer

Looking for a senior Mechanical Engineer to develop tools to support early retrievals/ operations of the MSSS SEP machines. The role will also include support to the principal engineer.

The role is a 12 month contract opportunity inside IR35 between £45-£55ph and can be based at either Westlakes Cumbria or Warrington.

BPSS clearance is required for this role.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

A senior Mechanical Engineer is required to develop tools to support early retrievals/ operations of the MSSS SEP machines. The role will also include support to the principal engineer.

This role requires an innovative individual with experience within this field.

Typical deliverables include but are not limited to:

Production of NFR’s

Production of OIMS

CDM risk assessments

CDM Register of Residual Design Risks

Production of drawings

Production of specifications

Production of substantiations

ESSENTIAL:

HNC/ HND/ Scientific or Engineering Degree

Understand the roles and specifications of CDM

Experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risks assessments

Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable SL practices, standard and engineering guides.

DESIRABLE:

Experience of working in decommissioning legacy facilities, materials and contaminated hazards.
