Braker Press/Machine Operator

Pershore, Worcestershire Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd Brake Press/Machine Operator Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking an experienced Brake Press/Laser Operator for our well-established clients based in Pershore, leading manufacturers to the defence and transport sectors. Your expertise will ensure precise fabrication of parts according to specifications, supporting the production of high-quality metal assemblies and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with fabrication processes. Main Responsibilities: * Set up and operate brake press machines (Amada) to produce parts and metal components accurately * Adjust and verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm tolerances and machine functions to accommodate different materials and project requirements * Able to interpret technical drawings and work instructions * Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring they meet design specifications and tolerances * Use hand tools and tooling to assist in fabrication, assembly, or finishing tasks * Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Skills and Experience: * Proven experience operating a Brake Press (Amada) - minimum 1 year * A minimum of 2 years experience setting and operating a Laser machine * Understanding of mechanical production techniques and able to read technical drawings * Good numeracy skills for calculation of measurements and adjustments * Able to use accurately: tape measure, verniers, micrometre and other go/no-go gauges * Pays attention to detail and to quality standards * Able to problem solve and an ability to work as part of a team * A quick learner * Flexible team player Salary up to £14.75 p/hr DOE + Company Benefits Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 07:45 - 17:15, Friday 07:45 - 13:00 (Early Finish) Temporary to Permanent Contract.
