Director – Strategic Programme ManagementLocation: LondonWorking pattern: HybridSalary: Up to £126,000 + comprehensive benefitsRight to work: UK visa sponsorship is not availableWe are recruiting an experienced Director to join the Strategic Programme Management practice of a leading global change and transformation consultancy.This is a senior leadership opportunity for a recognised programme-management expert who can lead complex transformation engagements, advise executive stakeholders and drive business growth.You will provide programme, portfolio and PMO leadership tailored to each client’s culture, strategic objectives and delivery environment.Key responsibilitiesProgramme leadershipLead large, complex transformation programmes and consulting engagements.Take responsibility for delivery from initial strategy through to implementation.Act as a programme or project leader on critical client engagements.Ensure solutions are practical, effective and capable of delivering lasting outcomes.Oversee delivery quality, governance, commercial performance and risk.Lead and develop multidisciplinary consulting teams.Shape programme, portfolio and PMO operating models.Resolve complex delivery challenges through clear and pragmatic solutions.Client advisoryAdvise executive stakeholders on strategic programme and portfolio decisions.Develop trusted relationships with client leadership teams.Challenge established thinking and introduce new perspectives.Build consensus across complex stakeholder groups.Translate strategic objectives into practical delivery plans.Create high-quality recommendations, presentations and executive materials.Business developmentIdentify, qualify and shape new consulting opportunities.Lead the development of compelling proposals and client pursuits.Expand existing accounts through trusted client relationships.Support the long-term growth strategy of the practice.Develop propositions and points of view across programme and portfolio management.Represent the organisation through thought leadership and industry engagement.Essential experienceAt least 10 years’ experience within management consulting, advisory or professional services.A background within a Big Four firm or comparable consultancy is preferred.Recognised subject-matter expertise in programme management.A strong record of leading large and complex consulting engagements.Experience managing programmes from strategy through to delivery.Proven responsibility for multidisciplinary teams and delivery performance.Strong relationships with executive and C-suite stakeholders.Experience identifying opportunities and contributing to business growth.Involvement in proposals, bids and consulting pursuits.Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to design practical solutions to complex programme challenges.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.Accreditation or recognition from a relevant professional body.A master’s degree or programme-management certification would be advantageous.BenefitsSalary up to £126,000Flexible time offPrivate medical planHealth cash planWorkplace savings schemes, including ISAs and GIAsEnhanced parental leaveLeadership and career-development opportunitiesApplicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
