Digital Design Lead

Most digital design roles ask you to inherit a process. This one asks you to build it.

You’d join the world’s largest independent design consultancy, with studios across five cities on two continents. Within one of its studios, digital is being made a first-class discipline rather than a phase bolted onto the end of a brand project. The founders have said it plainly: their brand thinking is strong and their digital process is behind it. You’re being hired to change that.

The Role
You’ll be the most senior Digital Designer in the team, reporting directly to the two founding partners – the people who make the work and own the client relationship. You’ll own digital thinking across everything the studio runs, from strategy through high-fidelity design, prototyping and delivery. For most of these clients, the website, the interface, the tool is the brand, so your point of view needs to be in the room from the first conversation.

The work is deliberately unsorted. In a single week you might design systems for a quantum computing company, an AI lab, a gaming studio, a fashion week and a pizza brand. You’ll present to clients, run workshops, partner with external development teams, and brief and hire freelance support to grow capability. You’ll also fix what currently costs the studio time and money: estimating, scoping and handover to build. This is design and process work, often in the same week.

The Person
You’re a Senior Digital Designer from a strong product studio, a brand agency with a real digital arm, or in-house where the interface is the brand. You move comfortably between structure and surface: research, journey and information architecture through to high-fidelity design. 

You have enough front-end understanding to hold a real conversation with an engineer, prototype fluently in Figma, After Effects or code, and use AI with good judgement. What sets you apart is genuine curiosity about what clients are building, not only how it looks.
