Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Acocks Green
Are you ready to kick-start your teaching career? Zest Education is offering an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is motivated, passionate, and eager to make a difference in children’s education. This full-time role, based at a welcoming school in Acocks Green, provides the perfect environment to grow and develop as a teacher alongside a supportive team of experienced educators.
Start Date: January 2027
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Key Stage: KS1

Responsibilities of an Early Career Teacher:

Deliver engaging and creative lessons across KS1 in line with the National Curriculum.

Communicate professionally with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective curriculum delivery.

Create a safe, well-organised classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.

Plan and implement engaging lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities.

Monitor pupil progress, providing additional support and individualised plans where necessary.
Requirements for the Early Career Teacher position:

Recognised teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Strong understanding of the national curriculum and a range of effective teaching strategies.

Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

Relevant experience working with children in an education based setting.

An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
