Senior Site Manager (Civils)

Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to take day-to-day responsibility for the site delivery of civil engineering works on a major construction scheme in Enfield. This is a key role for someone with a solid background in civils who can manage site activities efficiently, ensuring safety, quality, and programme requirements are consistently achieved.

Our client is a leading construction organisation, known for successfully delivering large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure projects to rigorous industry standards.
Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all on-site civil works, supervising teams and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
Monitor construction progress against programme and implement corrective action when necessary
Oversee quality control processes and ensure works meet specification and contractual requirements
Manage site logistics, resources, and plant to maintain productivity and schedule
Provide regular updates, reports, and site documentation for project leadership
Support risk management and drive continuous improvement across site operations

 
Must-have Requirements

Extensive experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering projects
Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors safely and effectively
Strong knowledge of groundworks, structures, and associated civil works
SMSTS certification and relevant health & safety qualifications
Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach
