Experienced KS2 teacher

Desian Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in South Warrington to recruit an experienced Year 5 Teacher for a long-term teaching opportunity.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding Key Stage 2 practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and making a positive difference to pupils with additional learning needs. Your new role

As the Year 5 Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that inspire learners and drive progress across the Key Stage 2 curriculum. You will create a positive and inclusive classroom environment while adapting teaching approaches to meet the needs of all pupils.

The class includes pupils with high SEND needs, therefore experience supporting children with complex learning, communication, social, emotional, or behavioural needs is essential. You will work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for every child.

What you will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Significant experience teaching within Key Stage 2
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the Year 5 curriculum
• Proven experience supporting pupils with high SEND needs
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to differentiate learning effectively for a range of abilities
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching
• A commitment to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing
