Actual Salary: MPS 1 - 6 (£32,916 - £45,352) / UPS (£47,475 - £51,048) + SEND Allowance

Danecourt is an award-winning special school supporting children with complex needs, including autism, communication needs and sensory processing differences. Our specialist practice has been recognised through the Medway Parents and Carers Forum SEND Awards, where Danecourt was named winner of the Primary Special School Provision award.

And our impact reaches beyond Danecourt.

Through the Maritime Outreach Support Service, our specialist expertise is helping colleagues in other schools strengthen SEND practice and create more inclusive environments for children. It's an opportunity to be part of a school that isn't only developing its own provision, but actively contributing to better SEND support across the wider education community.

Danecourt is continuing to grow, with new provision opening as we expand the specialist support available to children and families across Medway. It's an exciting time to join us and play a part in what comes next.

Our teachers work with small classes and are supported by skilled Teaching Assistants, therapists and specialist colleagues who work together around each child.

As a SEND Teacher at Danecourt, you'll create personalised and engaging learning experiences that reflect each child's individual strengths, needs and next steps.

You'll lead your class team, work collaboratively with therapists and other professionals and build strong relationships with families so that children receive joined-up support both at school and beyond.

You'll have the freedom to be creative, adapt your teaching and celebrate progress in all its forms - from developing communication and independence to building relationships, confidence and a love of learning.
Who You Are

We’re looking for a teacher who

• Holds QTS and is passionate about helping children with SEND thrive
• Brings creativity, curiosity and flexibility to teaching and learning
• Builds positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Is patient, resilient and able to recognise and celebrate individual progress
• Wants to continue learning and developing their SEND practice

Specialist SEND experience would be valuable, but just as important is your approach. If you're an excellent teacher who is curious about specialist education and ready to learn, we'd encourage you to explore the opportunity.
