Year 1 Primary Teacher – DN15 

Provide Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in DN15, starting in September.

This is a full-time, temp to perm position, offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to join a supportive and well-structured school environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to a Year 1 class, supporting pupils as they develop their confidence, independence and key skills throughout Key Stage 1.

The school has a strong focus on pupil progress and inclusive learning, with a collaborative staff team and a positive learning culture. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Year 1 Teacher looking to develop their practice while working within a supportive and friendly school environment.

Year 1 Primary Teacher Role Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, is desirable
• Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate and differentiated lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A proactive, enthusiastic and reflective approach to teaching
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

The Successful Year 1 Primary Teacher Will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Support pupils throughout their learning journey in Year 1
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, teaching staff, SENCO and school leadership
