About the role
London | Permanent | c£50-55,000 + benefits
We have been instructed by a reputed trade body, within financial services, to appoint an experienced Executive Assistant and Company Secretary to provide senior executive, governance and organisational support to the Chief Executive, Chair and Board.
The role combines high-level executive support with responsibility for company secretarial, Board and governance matters across the organisation and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide trusted support to the Chief Executive, including diary, meetings, travel, correspondence and organisational priorities.
- Act as Company Secretary and Registered Officer, overseeing statutory compliance, governance records, Companies House filings and Board documentation.
- Lead the planning and administration of Board, Committee, Forum and AGM meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes, action tracking and Board effectiveness.
- Advise the Chair, Board and Chief Executive on governance and procedural matters, supporting Board appointments, inductions, elections and succession planning.
- Lead governance improvement initiatives, oversee Board technology and information systems, and build strong relationships with Board members, executives and external stakeholders.
What we’re looking for
Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting Boards, with previous company secretarial experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act 2006, corporate governance and Companies House requirements.
- Experience preparing high-quality Board and Committee papers, minutes and governance documentation.
- Strong organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree educated; CGI/ICSA qualification is desirable but not essential.
